Worked great until it was updated and then there was a mass amount of units failing because of bad control boards so we had to buy an 80 dollar board to fix it.

Just stopped working about 6 months after I bought it can't get rid of it can't get my money back

The subwoofer stopped connections after a year. It’s out of warranty so I’m sure I’m just out of luck. It’s really upsetting because I bought two surround speaker modules to go with it and now that money is wasted too.

Very easy to set up the SN5Y LG soundbar pairs very easily with the subwoofer and in my case the rear speaker kit. The sound is clear, rich and nicely balanced. My only critisism is that the functions of the remote are not well described in the manuals especially the sound effects. Overall though I am very pleased with the purchase

I recently bought this soundbar to pair with my LGBX65 TV.I had a LG 5.1 sound system and was taking up quite a bit of room in our living room.I initially wasn't keen on a soundbar as I thought it would be a downgrade for sound quality, levels and usability.After researching I found this model produced great sound quality and did not need to lose out on volume.As this soundbar was on sale at a local electronic retailer, it made my decision easier.As I was on COVID lock down i had to order online and have delivered.The very next day when it arrived, I had it from box to set up within 5 minutes.This speaker system is unbelievably simple to set up and instantly have sound synced to my TV via HDMI ARC.You can also connect via optical cable or Bluetooth if you prefer.Since I have owned this speaker, it has not missed a beat and still provides the deep bass and sound quality expected of a 5.1 surround sound.For regular TV (news programs), I do need to turn up a little bit than normal, but I think that is to be expected.Noting I have never had to turn up more than 1/4 of the maximum level speaks volumes of the capability of the soundbar (pardon the pun).I would recommend this to anyone looking for an easy, function and capable soundbar that can produce great sounds with movies, music, TV shows and games without loss of entertainment value.

Absolute Fantastic! Extremely great sound quality and performance! I love it. It truly makes a huge differance in veiwing movies/ etc.I would definitely recommend to my friends to invest in one.

My first soundbar and what a great product it is. Really adds to the cinema feel with my LG Nano TV. Also, I can now play CDs on my DVD player and get a much better sound.

Very happy with the SN5Y Sound bar. All that was required for setup was plug the HDMI cable into the ARC port on our LG TVand the Sound bar, connect the power and it was done. The TV remote also controls the Sound bar's volume and power. The SN5Y replaced a few months old Sound bar which was more expensive and although it was great for Movies, the spoken voice sounded very electronic".We are extremely happy with the sound from the SN5Y, very easy listening and does not have the harsh digital sound that can be very annoying when watching normal TV shows. Movies and streaming have a realistic sound experience and am contemplating purchasing the rear speaker kit to further enhance the surround sound. For the price this a great piece of kit.

The subwoofer has stopped working a year and a half into the purchase and there are only a few repairers around Sydney. A little annoying to be honest.

It's easy to set up in HDMI ARC. Couldn't be simpler, auto-detecting music, dialogue, etc. works fantastic and simple. Simplicity and quality that I was looking for. Already recommending to other people and my family members.

Bought about a month ago and happy I did! Going to buy an LG tv so I decided to get an LG sound bar. Very easy to install and get working. Only complaint I have is the auto on feature. I can only hook up optical to my cable box (tv doesn’t have one, no an LG) and it comes on @ 0300-0400! So for now I make sure to unplug it when I go to bed!
